A random number in a cookie
When you first arrive we generate a random id and put it in a cookie that lasts a year. That id is the only thing tying your answers together. It is not derived from anything about you, and we never see your name, email, or IP-based profile.
Your answers
The five fixed questions — including the one about what this purchase would do to your month — are stored against that random id, along with the verdict and which rule produced it. The follow-up questions are stored too, but they are kept out of every statistic we compute.
Half-finished answers
If you stop partway, what you have answered so far is saved so you can come back to it. Finishing the flow deletes that draft.
What you did afterwards
Whether you bought it, waited, skipped it, or went cheaper — and, if you set a savings goal, the amounts you told us you moved. We do not touch your money and have no way to see your accounts. Those numbers are what you typed.
Calendar reminders
If you add a cool-off date to your calendar, the link carries a random token. We store only a hash of it, so the link in your calendar cannot be reconstructed from our database. It stops working 90 days after the date.
Where it lives, and for how long
In a Cloudflare D1 database hosted in Western Europe. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, and no third parties receiving any of it — not even for the product photos, which we serve ourselves. It stays until you delete it.

Delete all of it
Everything above is removed from the database, and the cookie is cleared. Any cool-off link already in your calendar stops working. This cannot be undone, and we cannot get it back for you.
